Previously he was a semifinalist on Last Comic Standing and America's Got Talent. He won the Andy Kaufman Award (2010) for creativity and originality in comedy, the Shorty Award in collaboration with Comedy Central, the New York Comedy Festival for "Best Emerging Comic" (2011), and the Magners Comic Stand-Off (2011).Adam Strauss’s work has been called many things, mostly adjectives. He won the New York Fringe Festival's Overall Excellence Award for Solo Performance and the Leffe Beer Craft Your Character storytelling competition. He's lost too many things to mention here. The New York Times said he "mines a great deal of laughter" and Time Out New York called his solo show The Mushroom Cure "a true-life tour de force" and named it a Critics' Pick.Jonathan is a born and bred NYC comic. With a background in self-deprecation and a passion for the absurdly relatable, Jonathan has been delighting audiences with his unique brand of silliness across NYC, and other cities like DC, Memphis, Maine, Edinburgh and Paris, where he's known as "Le Big Deal".
